Vintage Calendar Designs for April and May
Vintage calendar designs are a popular choice for people with more exquisite taste and a good opportunity to brag a bit about your knowledge in front of your visitors. The first bimonthly design is an updated version of Edward Penfield from 1918, made after drawing in the Old Farmer’s Almanac from 1843. The calendar in the middle uses a reproduction of Louis Lafitte’s calendar made during the French Revolution, when the French decided to start counting from the beginning and all months were renamed (the title of the painting and the name of the month are Floreal). We used Thomas Nast’s drawing of Aries, the Zodiac sign of April and May, from another old almanac.
